RV FlyIns throughout Europe
Since 2005 there are RV FlyIns organized at a few places throughout Europe. The French RVers organize their FlyIn at different airfields every year, the Germans have theirs at Damme, EDWC, the Brits has theirs at Northweald in south England, there is an annual FlyIn in Portugal and the Dutch RVers are planning for FlyIns also.

There were 29 RVs in all, with mostly G-RXXXs as usual (-6s -6As ,-4s and a -9A), 5 Danish RVs (-6As, -8 and 4), one Swedish RV (-XMI), one German (-6), one Dutch (-6A), one Swiss (-4) and a few French (-6s, -8s and -9As). At the Saturday dinner there was a prize giving with prizes for Grand Champion - Jörn Möller, RV8, longest flight - Tage Olesen, RV6A, oldest/most flying hours RV - Olle Bergqvist, RV6 and second longest flight the three danish from Roskilde - Nordic Grand Slam!!! French LaBaule RV FlyIn 2006
Pleasant bar Parking area and Homebuilders hangar!
at the airfield three Italian RVs
French Nuit St George RV FlyIn 2007
Unfortunately we were not able to participate due to bad weather en route to Dijon. Report says there were 30 RVs from France, Germany, England and Switzerland.
Dutch RV FlyIn at Lelystad 2007
An informal RV FlyIn was arranged at Lelystad in Holland by Rene Bubberman. Again the weather stopped us from getting out of Sweden! Five brittish RVs joined in.
German RV FlyIn at Damme, EDWC 2008

Flightline Damme 2008 Nice staying at the Mats got the longest
airfield flight prize
The first RV FlyIn in Germany was held at Damme airfield, EDWC May 25th. Some 40 RVs from Germany, Holland, Belgium, England, Schweiz, Austria, Denmark and Sweden attended a well organised event. Beautiful weather Friday and Saturday, lots of beer in the restaurant.
French RV FlyIn 2008 was cancelled due to a fatal accident at the airfield a few weeks before the FlyIn.
German RV FlyIn at Damme, EDWC 2009
We attended the German RV FlyIn at Damme again this year. Some 46 RVs showed up during both days. The airfield-house was rented by the Danish RVers this year so a hotel in town was our lodging. A few new RVs came, the newest was finished just three weeks before.
| The weather was excellent in Labaule at the third French RV FlyIn June 4-6th. There were 37 RVs in all with, as usual mostly G-XXXXs. All RV types, but for RV3 and RV10 were represented. We were two Swedish RVs, -XMI and -XOM. We had a pleasant flight both to and from LaBaule, at the French west coast near Nantes. Well organized - bar at the airfield! - good food, lots of old and new RV friends. |
